Hur sköttes bokningen?: If i were Hotell-Thailand.se.com, i would seriously consider taking this hotel of your web site, it will do your business harm. Also check with them why they advertise a fitness centre and do not have one.
Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: This hotel is one of the worst i have stayed, from the time we arrived i knew we would not enjoy our stay.when we checked in the lady wanted me to pay for the internet wireless service, i told her it was free on the booking site so she did not charge me, but she seemed not happy about it.When we arrived it was quite hot so we decided to have a swim, SHOCK HORROR, the pool water was green and the tiles had green slim on them, the bottom of the pool was very dirty, when i complained to one of the staff she just smiled, so i went to the office and was told the pool was under maintenance, that was a lie, it had not been cleaned for a long time.After i complained my thai g/f over heard one of the staff say to another, WHY DO WE NOT CLEAN THE POOL.So ok i thought i would go to the fitness centre, another shock, NO FITNESS CENTRE although it said they had one on their brochure.So for something to do, i decided to watch tv, you guessed it another shock, NO ENGLISH CHANNEL, not ONE.I asked to speak to the manager and was only able to talk to her on the phone, as i had to pay in advance with Hotell-Thailand.se.com i asked for my money back, but she declined and instead up graded us to the suite which was just the same as the standard room but bigger.The WHOLE hotel is very old and in need of a refurbish badly.I was the only foreigner there,and the breakfast reflected this, the only thing they had was fried eggs( cold).NO cereal, NO bacon, very very ordinary, i like thai food, but not for breakfast.I do not know who or how they rate this hotel, it was 4 anda half on Hotell-Thailand.se.com, i would say 2 at the most.The internet kept cutting out, so they connected LAN, it was better than the wireless but VERY VERY SLOW. so slow i could not be bothered using it.Be warned, DO NOT stay at this hotel, you WILL be sorry.For some reason Hotell-Thailand.se .com do not have any other hotel on their books in Phayao, there are many guest houses that looked nice and clean along the lake, so maybe if you google guest houses in Phayao you might find some.The only good thing about this hotel was the Staff were quite friendly and tried their best to help solve all the problems we encountered, also very close to the bus stop and town.And for me Phayao was very old and un-interesting and very little to do, i would not go back again. Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: The hotel is little off the town and lake side, but for self-driver easy to find: It is almost the only high(er) raise(ing) building in Phayao.Service is friendly, room was recently painted and decorated. Bathroom was not, a little aged, but clean. Breakfast was alright. Good value for money! On a scale of 1 (low) to 5 (high) I would overall rate it four to three. Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: We were in Phayao for my son and daughter in-law s wedding which was held at the Gateway. It is a beautiful hotel with an awesome view of Phayao, including the lake and the mountains in the distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: Consider the price, Gateway Hotel provides all the necessary needs a travller may desire for. The room is big with common facility. Moreover the thai massage and Karaoke within the Hotel is good. I will recommend this hotel for those going to Phayao

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: Medium size room with twin beds ( told double bed not available in deluxe room ?? ). Room clean but musty smell and noisy air con. Basic but clean bathroom with GOOD hot water pressure. Just adequate buffet b fast. Good town location next to bus station and 15 min walk to the Phayao Lake. The hotel lacks personality and could certainly do with a makeover. A rebranding to Ibis or Novotel would be ideal.

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: The rooms were very average for the price, musty smell and they could not even provide a baby bed for the 2,000baht we paid for the room.ABF was OK.Very little english spoken and the staff had difficulty finding the location of the hotel on a map of the town.I will not stay here again.

Hur sköttes bokningen?: Improvements need to be made in reading the special requests carefully & responding to them accurately. Otherwise, an efficient & trustworthy agent.
Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: The Gateway needs refurbishing esp its carpeting. A hot water-flask shld be supplied to every room without prior request. The buffet-breakfast offered the same fare for the 3 mornings I was there (I d stayed the 1st night (7th Mar) under my son s name/booking). There shld be some changes e.g. scrambled eggs & cereals. The reception-staff s English Language proficiency shld be improved. Otherwise, the hotel is the best choice in Phayao & is in a convenient location with the bus-station & a departmental store & other shops/eating-places surrounding it. Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: Hotel in good location, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai only 100kms either way.Rooms need some modernisation, staff great and helpfull, and breakfast ok.Great restaurents down by the river.Will go back again recommend.

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: The deluxe room was crappy the air con and hot water didn t work the room was filthy with huge amounts of dust everywhere the room smelled terrible, we complained and had to wait for the manager to be called in from home to decide what should be done. We had to change rooms because as we were told that the hotel only caters to Thais and they dont like air or hot water this seems to be normal for most of the hotels in Thailand. Funny how the room we changed to had the facilities that are listed on the site. Great location near shops market and also the bus station.
