Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: This is a beautiful place and the staff is freindly and take good care of guests. This is a garden setting so the occasional bug was expected but I enjoyed all the frogs and geckos! Eventhough there were back alley steps down to town, I found the location very convenient to town and to the beach. I also felt very safe. [Hotell-Thailand.se integr.ERR:escaping]

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: We really liked Varinda Garden Resort, nice and friendly people there. It is located in a wonderful garden up the hill at Lamai Beach. The whole area is decorated with care an taste in thaistyle. Very quiet wonderful pool area. The walk down to the beach is ok, the way up takes some more time - 90 steps!!The breakfast was not the burner. Very plain but the diner was good.We did not like the smell of the bed sheets and the towels. Altogether it was a nice location at Lamai to recomend to those people who want to have a quiet place. Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: This is a spectacular resort with exeptional kind staff. I will absolutly recommend this charming resort. It took apx 5 min to go to the beach, and the pool area is fantastic. We travelled with our children, 5 and 6 yrs.

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: Very nice place up on the hill. Good cuisine, very natural. Beautiful garden all over the resort. Nice pool. The place overall is very good but I would say it is not suitable for very small children (a lot of stairs, a lot of wooden paths with holes in it). We stayed at deluxe room and it was very nice. Though for a deluxe room I would expect a little view from the window and it was missing completely, we had another roof 30cm away from every window. The bed definitely needs to be fixed (small wooden parts falling apart). Staff was nice, good service. [Hotell-Thailand.se integr.ERR:escaping]

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: We stayed in a Family House overlooking Lamai bay - fantastic views and lovely atmosphere - staff friendly and helpful, resort facilities good - location great - only downside was the steep climb up to the resort from the town and beach - about 30 very steep steps and staggered climb inbetween - if you have small children this will be hard work. Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: Nice place with alot of lovely small details. Just the pool is a little bit small and the fitness facilities are not that good. But if you don t mind that things, i can recommend you to stay in this hotel, beacause all the rest is fine, the staff is friendly and room cleaning was every day well done! The location is also good, just a 10 minutes walk to the village and to the beach as well. All in all, we had a pleasent stay in Varinda Resort. [Hotell-Thailand.se integr.ERR:escaping]

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: You feel like in a jungle in that resort, all green, away from the hustle and bustle of Lamai Beach. Great staff, nice bungalow, great view from the swimming pool, that was well maintained. Getting to Lamai Beach was a 5 minute walk down a quite steep walkway but ok for us. Breakfast was good also. Downside is the relatively small pool area with restricted space around it. So if resort is full, it can get quite packed there. Also no sunshades at the pool, so all sunbeds fully exposed to sun nearly all day. Just a few seats with some shading. Also a little bit pricy. But altogether recommended if you look for some tranquility, but next time I will probably look for something else closer to the beach and for lesser money. [Hotell-Thailand.se integr.ERR:escaping]

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: My family stayed in the Family room - plenty of space available. Rooms were well maintained by the staff. The pool was well used by our family and the kids particularly loved it - the views across Lamai are very spectacular. The whole place was clean, rooms and areas of the resort. Stuff and owner are very kind and friendly! Didn t mind the short walk to the beach.Only drawback at the moment might be some noise from construction activities in the resort .. will be done soon.

It s about 10 mins to walk to the town and beach.The room should be better cleaned up and we found trash left in the drawer. I overall enjoyed the stay in Varinda but I would choose others if I came back to Samui again.

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: This place is lovely. The staff are super friendly, it s spotless and the view from the pool is just gorgeous (though the pool is smaller than the photo suggests). There s also something serene about Varinda, maybe it s the sound of windchimes and the lovely gardens. It s close enough to Lamai to walk to the beach and the action if you like but far enough away for some serious rest and relaxation....I thoroughly recommend this hotel

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: Avery quite spot - but I think (in comparison with other resorts in Lamai) very over-priced for what they provide. I checked other much smarter/better located resorts during my visit and they were at least 50% and often more cheaper. They were alos directly on the beach - big draw back with Varinda is the huge climb up a large number of steps. My recommendation - shop around, there are much better deals to be had.

Övriga kommentarer om hotellet: The hotel was a pleasant oasis set away from the hustle and bustle of central Lamai, yet still within walking distance of all the bars and restaurants. The pool was a welcome relief from the heat and the view from poolside is nothing short of spectacular. The staff are both helpful and attentive whilst not being intrusive. The airconditioning works extremely well in the rooms.On the whole I d recommend this hotel to anyone, an excellent find.
